Hello Experts,

I used Form 8915-E and filed qualified 2020 disaster retirement plan distribution last year and reported 1/3 of the distribution.

How do I file another 1/3 of the remaining qualified disaster retirement plan distribution from last year?

Thank you in advance for your help.

The IRS Form 8915-F is to be used to report the Coronavirus distribution in 2021.

IRS Form 8915-F is still in draft mode on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/f8915f--dft.pdf

I see that the Form 8915-F (Spouse Copy) is available  now in Turbotax.  However, I am not able to enter any numbers.

What steps in Turbotax for do I need to follow to file 1/3 of the remaining qualified 2020 disaster retirement plan distribution from last year which I filed using Form 8915-E?

Thank you for your help in advance.

After the 1099-R section, TurboTax asks about 'Disaster Distributions' in a prior year. Type '1099-R' in the Search area, then click on 'Jump to 1099-R' to get there.

If you check the box for 'covid-related' distribution in 2020, the screen opens up with questions and blank fields to enter amounts into.

You will need your Form 8915-E from your 2020 return to enter the amounts.
