You can file your own tax return by mail, being sure that you have not indicated that you can be claimed as a dependent.  Then, the IRS will examine your return and the return where you were claimed as a dependent to determine which one is correct.  

 

You will not be able to file your return electronically without indicating that you have been claimed as a dependent.  Otherwise, it will be rejected.
