I already mailed a check with my state tax extension (RI-4868) form. Where do I enter this on TurboTax?

You can follow the steps below to enter the payment already made on your extension -

  • Log into your account and click Take Me to My Return (you must click this link or you will not get the correct jump to link below)
  • Use the search function - icon at the top of screen that looks like a magnifying glass
  • Search for "estimated tax payments"
  • Click the link "jump to estimated tax payments"
  • Scroll down until you see Payments with 2016 State Extension (see attached screenshot)
  • Enter your state extension payment
