how do I file adoption-related expenses and credit. Process started in 2021 and placement/finalization was completed in 2022.

      First of all, congratuations for finalizing the adoption! Regarding to the adoption credit, you can claim the credit the year after the year of payment so you can take the credit for tax year 2022 since it was finalized in 2022 and the process started in 2021.
