How do i file federal taxes in 2 states?

    All of your income must be entered on your ONE federal tax return, regardless of what state it was earned in.  As for the two states----you might need to file two state tax returns.   But we need to know what states.   Did you live in one state and work in another state?  Move from one state to another?

    Your Federal taxes will only be filed once regardless of the states.

    • It will include all of your relative tax information.
    • Each state will then be filled separately.
    • If the state requires a Federal return attached, TurboTax will include it.
