When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee.  Each return needs its own account and user ID.   If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.

Q.  How do I file for a different person in one TurboTax account?

A, You cannot do that with the online tax program. It can be done with the download versions of TurboTax. You can do an unlimited number of returns, but are limited to only filing five.  In addition, there is an additional fee to e-file state returns (except NY).
