How do I file for previous year, 2019?

TurboTax 2019 Online is closed, so a 2019 return can no longer be e-filed.

You'll need to purchase the 2019 TurboTax software, download and install it to your computer. You can complete your return, then print and SIGN the return before mailing it to the IRS. Please mail using a method that requires a signature on receipt so that you can verify that the IRS has received your return.

Don't forget about your state return if that's applicable.

For tax years 2019, 2018, or 2017

You'll need to purchase and download the TurboTax software for PC or Mac as TurboTax Online and the mobile app are only available for the current tax year.

After installing the software, open it and follow the onscreen instructions.

Prior year returns must be paper-filed, as e-filing is no longer available. We'll walk you through that process when you get to the File section in the software.
