You can file the same as you always have.  As long as you are married, you can file either file a joint return or a separate return with your wife. 

 

Depending on your income and other expenses and how much you are paying out of pocket, you may be able to claim some of her nursing home expenses as a medical deduction if you are itemizing your return.
