How do I file income from ebay without 1099-k?

    Actually you can just enter it as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099MISC, 1099NEC or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You should be entering the income from your own records.


    You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to Premium version. Or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs.

    You should always keep your own accurate records of business income and expenses.  If you are filing a schedule C for self-employment because you sell at a profit, you will enter your gross income, your costs for the items, and your other expenses (shipping, sales tax, etc.) and pay income tax on the net profit.

     

    If you are only selling used items for less than you paid, you don't have taxable income and it doesn't need to be reported if you don't get a 1099.
