How do I file state taxes?

Live in one state and worked from home in another state

It depends. If you always worked in your home state, then you need to file only a resident State income tax return (if your state has income tax). But if you were physically present in another state and were paid for work you performed in that state, you would need to file a non-resident State income tax return.
