How do I file the 2023 taxes now?

You still have time to file.  

The deadline is April,15th, 2024.

You can start a new TurboTax account.

1. Go to TurboTax.
2. Select the [ Start in TurboTax ] button, and
3. Your on your way

If you really need more time, you can file for an extension.

This will give you until 15 October 2024 to file your taxes.

Although this increases the filing deadline, it does not extend the payment deadline.

If you owe taxes, you must pay by April 15th.

1. On the menu bar on the left that shows.
2. Select Tax Tools
3. On the drop-down select Tools
4. There will be 4 green boxes
5. Select Tax Topics
6. Type Extension
7. You can then start the extension process

Remember, an extension gives you more time to prepare your taxes, but it does NOT extend the time to pay your taxes.

 If you have an indication that you will owe taxes, you should make the payment to avoid additional interest and penalties.
