The question involves information needed for a 1099-B worksheet.

Often times your cost basis is not included on a 1099-B document.  And although you are not required to enter a cost basis, failing to do so will result in the taxation of all of the proceeds.  So, if you have uploaded documents that do not have a cost basis reported, you will want to gather that info and enter it into TurboTax so that you do not pay more tax than required by law.

And I am not sure that the basis is what you are being asked about.  So, if it is something else, please advise.  How do I find a stock's cost basis?
