How do I find prior year tax? I have my 2019 return. Why is this so complicated? I entered everything correctly and I keep getting this error.

The prior year federal tax is found on your 2019 Form 1040, Line 16, which shows the total tax for that year. The software seems to be trying to calculate the lowest penalty for underpayment.

If you are referring to your state tax return, look for the line labeled total tax.

I got the same error message. The problem is that the TurboTax software doesn't link or refer to the page where this information is requested. Nor does it clarify what type of tax information is missing.

Extremely frustrating!
