While reviewing my return, some information is missing. The instructions say: "Go to Federal" and then pick "Income Expenses" . . . . How do I "Go to Federal"?

It probably means go to the Federal interview.   In the left column menu click the Federal tab to return to the Federal interview.   Then go to whatever income expenses topic you are referring to.

I had already tried that.  It did not work.  I have given up.  I will now print and mail my return, with a check for my taxes.    NOW:  How do I negate the approval for fund transfer I have already provided so the IRS can take my taxes from my bank account?    MARVIN

Sorry, I can't help you with anything about direct debit.  I have never used that.    The title of this thread is a different topic on program navigation, so you may not get an answer to that additional question in this thread since it's less likely to be seen here.  Below is how to ask it as a new question where you can mention "direct debit" in the title so it will show up to folks who can comment on that topic.

You can go to this link to ask the question:

    https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/forums/postpage/board-id/202

In the subject line summarize your question with a mention of your direct debit issue.  Below that is a box for details to explain your situation.

The best I can tell, you have no other thread that explains what additional issue you were having that prevented you from efiling.    If you want help with that issue so that you might not have to mail it, you can start a thread explaining that issue in case someone can help you fix whatever it is so you can efile.  (you can use the same link as above)

Or if you need/prefer to speak to a person in realtime at TurboTax Support about any of those issues:

Support hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific, every day this time of year.
