Please need help with federal refund, I took direct deposit, reason have a family emergency! And a agent didn’t let me know , I could receive money, before refund? And Turbo tax charged me 256.00

My Fed tax return was signed with my refund being 5580.00 Deposited into my account was 1522.50. I need to understand what is going on with this. Please help!
