How do I get a protection id number?

I answered that I had one and now it won't let me change my answer.

    You can make sure that you have entered the correct Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) by going to the Federal tab, selecting Other Tax Situations, and choosing IP PIN.  Enter the correct info and then resubmit your return. 

     

    You should have received a CP01A notice from the IRS with the required Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN).
