A W2 is a wage statement that your employer will give to you when you worked for them and they held out taxes for you.

A 1099 is a wage statement that your employer will give to you when you worked for them and they did NOT hold out taxes for you.

If you worked for yourself, you will report your income using the cash, credit card etc that your customers gave to you.

If you need a 1099 you will need to contact the company that you worked under.

What if I need to issue a w-2 to the IRS (along with a w-3) and myself, on behalf of my single member LLC. Where can I download those tax documents to submit for 2022

I have a similar question, for an LLC. What if I need to issue a w-2 to the IRS (along with a w-3) and myself, on behalf of my single member LLC. Where can I download those tax documents to submit for 2022?

You can  connect to Quick Employer Forms to prepare and submit those documents. This can be accessed through TurboTax Online Self Employed, TurboTax CD/Download or TurboTax Business without any additional fee.

To download and complete yourself you can use the links below.
