How do I get it to let me pay taxes due electronically, instead of check or payment plan?

It lists options for check or payment plan, and says direct debit isn’t available, but doesn’t say why

To pay what?  Federal tax due?  Say you will mail a check then you can pay the IRS directly online,

BUT....Don't pay until the IRS actually accepts your tax return towards the end of the month....they might reject it and then the correction might change what you owe....more$$ or less$$ no way to tell.

Better yet....don't e-file now....there is (almost) no reason to file before the IRS starts processing tax returns, adn that's still 2+ weeks away.

If you have a checking account, direct debit is an option to pay the amount you owe.

you must pay the Turbotax preparation fee separately.
