You must report your estimated taxes that were paid.  To report:

  1. Open your Turbo Tax Home and Business
  2. Go to personal>deductions and credits
  3. Estimates and other Taxes paid>estimates
  4. Estimated Taxes>Federal Estimated Taxes for 2023 (1040 ES)
  5. Here you will list the estimated taxes paid in all 4 quarters in the 2023 tax year.

Great answer.  However I thought Turbotax 23 woud automatically pick it up from Turbotax 22!  Is that an incorrect assumption?

I believe you used the 2022 program to prepare your estimated tax payments for 2023. They cannot be automatically populated in your 2023 program because it is possible that you won't actually make the payments, in which case your tax paid in 2023 would be overstated.
