To downgrade to a lower edition, you'll need to use the feature "Clear and Start Over" and select the product you want.

The $60 (for Federal) product is the Deluxe Edition (and $50 for a state return).  If you choose to pay the fees out of your Federal refund, there is an additional $40 service fee ($45 for California filers) for that payment option.   Deluxe is actually 2 tiers down from Self-Employed.  Whether you can use it or not depends on the type of income items in your return.   If you have capital gains/losses, rental/royalty income, reporting a K-1, etc., those require Premier Edition or higher.
