Cannot select "blank" for box 1b on 1099b

Box 1b of this form reports the date you acquired the investment - it is blank on your 1099-B, because the issuer (brokerage/financial institution) did not have that information. This information is only needed to determine if your gain/loss on the sale is "long-term" or "short-term"

If you owned this investment for more than one year before selling it, then enter any date in 2019 or earlier. That will cause the program to report the gain/loss as "long-term".

If you owned this investment for less than one year before selling it, then enter any date in 2020. That will cause the program to report the gain/loss as "short-term".

You appear to be using Online Premier.  Did you try to do it like the image below?   If so, where is the roadblock?

I did try to do it as illustrated in the image provided, but the "blank" is greyed out - you can't click on it.
