You didn't say what kind(s) of 1099 you are importing.  As an illustration, the steps below are for 1099-B, for example, but it may import all your 1099's at the same time if you also have 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, etc.   If you don't have a 1099-B, then substitute the specific type of 1099 in the steps below.

You appear to be using Online Premier.

  • Log in and open your Online TurboTax return.
  • Once the return is open, click at the top on Search, and in the search window enter 1099-B (without quotes).  Ignore any dropdown suggestions, and instead click the blue magnifying glass icon on the same line.
  • Then choose Jump to 1099-B.
  • A screen will ask you if you received a 1099-B.   Yes (if so).
  • On a screen "Let's get your tax info" you should see a blue Charles Schwab logo.  You can click that as a shortcut, or you can enter the name "Charles Schwab" in the institution line instead.  Either one will get you to the next screen.  (The line there says "bank", but it also means any financial institution.)
  • Then a screen will ask you for your Schwab log-in ID and password.
  • Keep following the screens.
  • NOTE:  After importing, review the imported data very carefully to be sure it imported correctly.  And be sure to answer the followup screens in the relevant topics for each type of 1099 you imported.

This is not working as of today 3/29/20. I have tried several times and it says "this bank needs to do something to their site" Does anyone know when this  will work or how to get it to work?

Try different browsers.  Either "Firefox" or "Chrome" or "Microsoft Edge' for example.
