Question

How do I import my 1099 from SoFi investments? It doesn’t show as an option when I type it in.

If it does not show it, it most likely means that SoFi Investments has not partnered with TurboTax for the import feature. In that case, you can still enter the 1099 information manually.

Please follow the steps below to enter your 1099 Forms manually:

  1. Click on Tax Home from the Left Side Menu.
  2. Click on Income & Expenses from the main screen. Then click on Review/Edit, or Work on Other Income.
  3. Then Scroll Down to the Investments and Savings Section. You will see option for 1099-Int, 1099-Div and 1099-B.
  4. You can select the appropriate option. For example, if you want to report capital gains, you will select 1099-B.
  5. On the next prompt it will ask you for some questions and then on the import page, you click on the option which says "Enter a different way". This option will allow you to still enter all your 1099 information manually.
