How do I import past tax filings without having to purchase a CD? Just as before, why can't Turbo Tax subtract it from my refund?

If you are trying to amend a return that you have filed in TurboTax that is 2018, 2017, or 2016 you will need to download the TurboTax Amend program to your Windows or Mac desktop. There is generally no cost.

If you are trying to file a return in TurboTax for the years 2018, 2017 or 2016 and have not filed it before (or filed it elsewhere) then you are going to have to purchase the TurboTax Desktop Download/CD version of the software.

There is no program to pay for a past year return out of your Federal refund.
