Please see the instructions below for entering Form 1099-S, entry is dependent upon the type of income reported on Form 1099-S.

For the sale of a second home, an inherited home, or land e nter the 1099-S proceeds as follows:

  •     On the Tax Timeline, select "Federal Taxes"
  •     Select "Wages and Income"
  •     Select "Check for more income", then click "Skip to See All Income"
  •     In the "Investment Income" section, click "Show More" to expand the listings
  •     Click "Start" next to "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other"
  •     Select "Yes" to "Did you sell any investments in 2016?"
  •     On the next screen, select "NO" to "Did you get a 1099-B or a brokerage statement for these sales?"
  •     Choose 'Everything Else' as the type of investment you sold
  •     Continue with the interview process to finish
