How do I know if I need to submit a 225 form? I received tax free bonuses from the state.

It is for New York. The health worker bonus. When I went through the state part there was a place to add what the tax free amount was. So does that mean it doesn't need an additional 225 because I could figure out how to file with the return anyways.

When you enter the bonus amount under TurboTax's question about healthcare worker bonus, form 225 is generated for you by TurboTax. If you are using TurboTax Desktop you can confirm this by clicking forms in the upper right hand corner.
