Did you file a 2021 tax return?   Were you eligible for the stimulus for 2021?   Was there an amount on line 30 of your 2021 Form 1040?

If someone could claim you as a dependent for 2021 you were not eligible then and will not be eligible now.

Check your own bank account for deposits of the stimulus checks, and check your online account with the IRS to see what the IRS shows they sent to you.

Try checking your online account with the IRS (and if you filed a joint return—check for BOTH of you)

If you need to trace a payment that the IRS says has been issued to you, mail or fax a completed IRS Form 3911, Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund.

You say "check your online account with the IRS to see what the IRS shows they sent to you."

I went out to my account, logged in with ID.me, I clicked on everything I could see but nothing tells me one way or the other if this was sent?  Where would I look specifically?

Also I am divorced now and no longer live at the address on the 2021 tax return... but my new address is updated online on the irs site, so would they send to my new address?

First, check your copy of your 2021 return.  You may have received the Recovery Rebate Credit on your taxes (Form 1040, Line 30).

If not, and you don't see it on your online account with the IRS, you can also call toll-free at 800-829-1040.

Here's more info on How to Check for Recovery Rebate Credit

To have been eligible for the 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit, you must:

    •               Have been a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien in 2021.
    •               Not have been a dependent of another taxpayer for 2021.
    •               Have a valid Social Security number issued by the due date of the tax return.
    •               You may qualify for the credit if you were eligible for payment but did not receive one, did not receive the full amount, your income made you eligible, or you had a child in 2020 or 2021 after receiving your stimulus payment5.

If you were eligible and did not receive the rebate then you have to do nothing.  You will receive a check in the mail next month.

@Lisawilke There is no stimulus check for 2024.   The stimulus checks were issued for 2020 and 2021.   If anyone could claim you as a dependent for either of those years, you were not eligible then and would not be eligible now.    It is too late for the 2020 payments.    It is not too late for the 2021 stimulus check but you would have to file by April 15, 2025 or it will be too late for that one too.

Look at your online account with the IRS to see if they sent you $1400 in 2021.

If you were eligible and did not receive a payment from the IRS, the other way to get the payment is to amend your 2021 return to use the recovery rebate credit before April 15, 2025.   If you did not file a 2021 return at all, then prepare one and mail it in.

    @makammer

TurboTax does not know who will receive the stimulus checks that the IRS is sending.   The IRS has identified some people who were eligible for the 3rd EIP payment who did not receive it and did not use the recovery rebate credit on their 2021 tax returns, so the IRS is sending out those payments.   You should check your online account with the IRS---many people received the 3rd stimulus before they filed their 2021 return, so they did not need to use the credit on their tax return.

Look at your online account with the IRS to see if they sent you $1400 in 2021.

If you could be claimed as someone else's dependent in 2021, you are not eligible for the payment.

If you were eligible and do not receive a payment soon from the IRS, the other way to get the payment is to r amend your 2021 return to use the recovery rebate credit before April 15, 2025.   If you did not file a 2021 return at all, then prepare one and mail it in.
