How do I know if my taxes will be direct diposited or mailed

If you already filed or e-filed your income tax return(s) and you selected the Direct Deposit option, the information is printed on your return.

 

  • It's also on Part V of the Federal Information Worksheet. Scroll down for Direct Deposit banking information.

 

If you entered the wrong account information, the IRS will mail your income tax refund to the address on your tax return.

 

Tax tip: If you'd like to get a bigger refund, complete a form W-4 for 2021 and have an additional withheld. You'll get less money in your paycheck but you'll get a bigger refund next year.
