How do I log off without losing the work I have done so far-I plan to finish at a later date.

Online TurboTax saves every time you change screens. If you were to get disconnected or accidentally close your browser, it will still save, except for maybe the last screen if your power went off.
The safest way to exit though is to click on MY ACCOUNT at the top then choose "Save and Sign Out."
When you return, go to the 2016 Tax Timeline and click on the orange button "Take me to my return."
