How do I remove items from my depreciation and amoritization report? We threw out stuff bough from 2000 so it is not longer depreciated, but it is on the list

    You will have to go through the discarded items on the list and say that you disposed of them. Here is how:

    1. Edit each discarded item, one at a time.
    2. Continue until you get to, Tell Us More About This Rental Asset.
    3. Select, This item was sold, retired, stolen, destroyed, disposed of, converted to personal use, traded in or given away. 
    4. Enter a date of disposal.
    5. Continue to Enter Asset Sale Information, enter 0 for sales price.
    6. Repeat until all of the disposed items are recorded.

     

    Please note the entry will remain on the list, but no more depreciation will be taken and it will not carry forward to next year.
