Online TurboTax automatically saves your return after every screen.   You don't need to do anything special to save it.  You can come and go.   Your info should be saved even if you were to close the browser accidentally--except if you hadn't finished that particular screen, you might have to answer some of that screen again.

Here's the best way to exit:

To sign out, go to the left menu column and scroll way down to the bottom of the menu and choose Sign Out.
