How do i save my tax return to my computer. I have save all other years i have used turbo tax this year seems to be different

If you want to save a PDF copy of your return to your computer after you have filed, please follow these steps:

1. Sign back in to your TurboTax account 
2. On the Overview page, click on My TurboTax > My Tax Timeline.  [See Screenshot #1, below.]
3. On the My Tax Timeline screen in the section Some Things You can do, click on Download/print return (PDF).  [Screenshot #2]

If you want to download the .tax file for your online return to your computer please follow these steps:

1. Make sure you are in your return.  If you are on the intro screen, click on the orange box, Take me to my return. 
2. Click My Account (in the blue bar at the top of the screen) and then Tools.  [Screenshot #3]
3. In the Tools Center, under "Other helpful links" click on Save your 2016 return to your computer.  [Screenshot #4]
4. The .tax file for your online return will be found in the Downloads folder on your computer.
