Question

How do I see when my tax payment is scheduled to be paid in Turbo Tax?

I remember filling out the banking details when the tax returns were submitted, but I do not seem to have a record of the date the payment is scheduled.  When I download the return itself it does not provide any information.

You can verify if you have scheduled a payment and the dates by accessing a copy of your tax return. The scheduled payment would be located on your Federal Information Worksheet Part V Information worksheet which is included with your tax return.

Please follow the step by step instructions below to access/print a copy of your tax return after filing in TurboTax Online:

Sign in to your account (if you haven't already done so), using the same login you used to file your return.
If you can't remember, go here so we can help you get logged in.
Once you're logged in, go to the bottom of the screen and click  Your Tax Returns and Documents.
Choose the tax year for the return you want to print
Select Download/print return (PDF).
On the next screen, click Download my return.
Once your return has downloaded, locate the PDF and open it. If you see a printer icon at the top of the screen, click that; or if you have a File menu in the upper left corner, open that and select Print.

Make any adjustments in the Print window, such as the number of copies, and then click the Print button at the bottom.
If nothing prints or the PDF saves instead of prints, repeat Step 6 and then:
Click the Advanced button near the top of the popup window;
Clear the Print to File checkbox;
Click OK,and then click the Print button again.

If you chose to have them withdraw from your bank account, generally, the funds are withdrawn on the payment date you specified if your return has been accepted. If you still don't see the debit 7-10 days after your return has been accepted and your specified date, you will need to call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 1-888-353-4537, if this is a federal tax payment you owe. If you didn't specify a date, then April 15th is the default payment date.

If you did not set up your Federal payment with TurboTax you can go to the IRS website to pay

Thanks for the reply.

If there is no Federal Information Worksheet Part V attached to the Tax Return PDF file, am I to assume that there is no payment planned for the taxes that are due?

Regards,

Scott

No, it doesn't mean there is no tax payment planned. You can try to get a copy of your worksheet by;

  1. Log into Turbo Tax
  2. When you get to the landing page, scroll down to my tax returns and documents
  3. Select 2020 and select a button that says add a state
  4. Once you are back into your return, select print on the left side of your screen.
  5. Here you will reach the Turbo Tax Print Center
  6. When it asks what you would like to print or download, indicate you want to print all IRS and Turbo Tax Worksheets. Your federal information worksheet will be included with this. Here is what this looks like.

My 2020 return was accepted by IRS with scheduled payment for 4/14/2021 as yet no debit has occured? all route and acct # are correct. do i need to do anything else?

April 20, 2021

No, you do not need to do anything else at this point.

Please see the link below for additional information as far as when your payment will go through.

There is also a handy reference at the bottom of the following link as well that you can click about what to do after you file your taxes.  I recommend clicking on that as well as it provides more direction as to what to do if your payment does not go through as you directed it to.

As long as your payment is scheduled to go through by May 17th, you will be considered filed and paid before the due date.

When will your tax payment go through
