How do I skip the pay your federal taxes section and just file?

You can't just skip it but if you don't want to pay or can't pay at this time then select that you will pay by check. You can then mail in your check when you can. You should know that if your payment is received by the IRS after 4/17/18 you may be subject to penalties and interest.
