how do i tell if i have a free addition of turbo tax

If you are using TurboTax Online and you started in the free edition your return should be free unless you have items to report that are outside of what the free edition offers. To start a return in TurboTax Online free edition you can do it from here.

In the upper left corner of your TurboTax screen where the TurboTax logo is it should say what version you are using.
