How do I tell if I took my dependent off correctly

You can verify if the dependent was successfully removed by following the steps below in TurboTax Online:
- Open your return in TurboTax, if you aren't already in it. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax and click the Take me to my return button.)
- Select 'My info' in the left side panel. .
- This will bring you to the 'Personal Info Summary' scroll down to see the dependent has been removed. If for some reason the dependent is still listed, select the trash can icon next to the dependent's name and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the deletion.
Enter your E-mail address. We'll send you an e-mail with instructions to reset your password.
