I filed my TT return for 2024. Can I use the tax calculator to see what lower income taxes will be in 2025?

Although the 2024-2025 tax calculator is for 2024 taxes filed in 2025, you can get an idea of the affect your lower income will have on your taxes by using it. Taxes are subject to change, so it will not be totally accurate.

The following changes have been announced for the 2025 tax year: For single taxpayers and married individuals filing separately for tax year 2025, the standard deduction rises to $15,000 for 2025, an increase of $400 from 2024. For married couples filing jointly, the standard deduction rises to $30,000, an increase of $800 from tax year 2024.
