How do you fix the 'Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available.' error? My federal return went through fine and I'm not missing any forms, but my state won't clear.

I filed my federal return before my state because the necessary state forms weren't available quite yet. I received an email stating that the form was now available and I could submit my return, but it's getting hung at the 'Tax Year 2021 transmissions are not available.'

This is a known issue and is being investigated. Hopefully, there will be a resolution shortly.

You made no mention of what state. Is it North Carolina by any chance? If you received an email recently about NC forms, it had misleading information. The forms mentioned in that premature email are only available for printing, not efiling.

Some NC forms (including the main Form D-400) are not yet finalized and available for efiling. Projected availability date is 2/24/2022, according to the availability tables:
