how is line 4d calculated. I have three 1099-Rs' with box 7 codes of G, BG, & 7

    In your 1099-R are correctly coded, then codes G and BG are direct rollovers and are not taxable. Code 7 is for Normal distribution and is taxable.

     

    Line 4d should show the taxable amount which is the amount reported on the 1099-R with code 7.

    Code 7 may or may not be taxable depending on the box 2a amount and your answers to the interview questions.
