How is my tax return sent to pay a child support debt my ex husband has. It's his debt not mine.

My husband's ex-wife got my taxes for child support. I am legally separated from my husband. Why is my taxes taken

If you are were legally separated under the laws of your state as of 12/31/2020, you should have filed as Single or Head of Household.  But, if you filed Married Separately (especially in a Community Property State) you can claim Injured Spouse.
