How long does it usually take for the IRS to finalize forms so we can file?

Forgot to add the PIN when filing so it was rejected. Then we went back and added the PIN same day and the IRS has not finalized the form. How long does this usually take?

Is the return still showing that it has only been transmitted?

It can take 24-48 hours for the IRS to accept or reject the return.

It was rejected. We clicked the fix my return button and added the forgotten PIN and the identity theft statement on the 18th of February and it still says they are finalizing the form? I don't understand what that means and am not sure how they can even have the information if the return was not resubmitted. And I can't resubmit until the IRS finalizes the form.
