Solved

How soon after my federal student loans are put into forebearance do I come off the offset list? Trying to figure out when I can file my needed tax return.

I would contact the Bureau of Financial Services directly to ensure the offset has been lifted. Then I would file your return.

If necessary, you can always get an extension.

    • Contact the BFS's TOP call center at 800-304-3107 or TDD 866-297-0517, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.
