How to Attach or Replace a .pdf Form 8283 to bypass the rejection from eFiling?

TT rejected my eFile because the TT generated Form 8283 was not signed, which was planned to be US Mail to IRS like the past years.   Now, can I replace this bad form with a valid signed form by the Donee?

Turbotax has no provision to attach an external PDF.

the signed 8283 must be submitted by mail with form 8453

Turbotax will generate the 8453 once the 8283 info is completed. according to Turbotax you should be able to e -file with a dummy 8283 that will be included in the e-file

contact support for how to e-file in your situation if you have continuing issues.

When and Where To File form 8453

If you are filing your tax return using an online provider, mail Form 8453 to the IRS within 3 business days after you have received acknowledgement from your intermediate service provider (ISP) and/or transmitter that the IRS has accepted your electronically filed tax return. If you don’t receive an acknowledgement, you must contact your intermediate service provider and/or transmitter.
    Mail Form 8453 to:
Internal Revenue Service Attn: Shipping and Receiving, 0254 Receipt and Control Branch Austin, TX 73344-0254

Turbotax does not allow addition or substitution of forms or PDF files.  Some other tax programs do allow attachment of PDFs, but I don't think that will fix your problem, since the PDF attachment to the XML data file is not going to be part of the e-file validation.

What's supposed to happen is you e-file your return with the electronic form 8283, and Turbotax prints out a transmittal form 8453, that you mail to the IRS with the original copy of the 8283 signed in ink.  I don't know of a change that would cause the IRS to reject a return without a PDF attachment.  You may want to call customer service and see if you can get an application specialist to review this.

TT will detect the Unsigned 8283 form and simply reject the efile.
Had talked to TT staff who suggested Print and Mail is the Only solution.

External PDFs cannot be attached to an efile.  in addition, the IRS wants an original of a signed 8283 appraisal.

you should be able to e-file your return and then use form 8453 to submit the 8283 and appraisal by mail to the iRS. use a tracking service and read Tubotax filing instructions for the 8453/8283
