Question

How to combine 2 2024 tax returns

Hi. A family member pulled in data from 2023 for their 2024 tax return. Now, after upgrading, they inadvertently started new return and started typing in data again. It is extremely time consuming. Is there a way to combine the 2 2024 tax returns so they don't lose what they have typed in, but all the account data from 2023 can be pulled in as well?

No.   Pick one and move on.

I had the same issue.  I learned that my 2023 tax file had been corrupted so 2024 didn't import in any data.  Fortunately, I had saved a copy of the file and was able to replace the corrupted file.  I then restarted a new return (after deleting the 2024 file) and everything imported just fine.
