Turbo Tax Tips for Sole Proprietors said Health Insurance Premiums are an above the line deduction on Schedule C. Do I subtract amount from Gross Receipts?

It's not deducted from Gross Receipts.

Deduct the health insurance premiums under Other Common Expense section. There is a category for Insurance payments for Health, long-term care and liability insurance. The other part of the premium deduction will flow to line 29 on the 1040 and reduces your adjusted gross income.
