If you have an LLC and do not know what your filing or what your tax reporting requirements are, then it is recommended that you use a tax professional in your area for the first tax return.

TurboTax is a Do-it-Yourself tax preparation program.  It is not a paid tax professional such as a CPA, EA or Tax Attorney.

Otherwise, if you are a Single member LLC that has NOT incorporated then you will need to use the TurboTax online Self-Employed edition to report your income and expenses on a Schedule C.  The Schedule C is include with and is part of your personal tax return Form 1040.

Or you can use any of the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions, but the Home & Business is recommended.

If your LLC is more than one member or you have incorporated, then you will have to use the TurboTax Business Edition.  The Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer, not on a Mac or online.  The Business Edition cannot complete a personal tax return, Form 1040.

It is absolutely recommended that you do NOT use the Business Edition if this is the first time filing as a Partnership, C Corp, S Corp or multi-member LLC and use the services of a tax professional in your local area.
