Question

How to turn off auto-debit for IRS payment through turbotax? I have already made the payment directly through the IRS website.

If you completed a Form 9465 Installment Plan Request in the File section of the program and e-filed the federal tax return, that request was sent to the IRS.  The IRS will either accept or reject the request and send you confirmation of their actions in the mail to the address on your tax return.

Since you have paid the federal taxes owed, the IRS knows your account has been paid and should not initiate processing of the installment plan request.

Go to this IRS website for your tax account - https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account

to turn off your auto-debit you must contact the IRS by phone.
Or you risk paying twice.

Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at [phone number removed]

That's 353 and 4537 , area code 888
