I accidentally mailed my estimated tax payment check to the wrong IRS location. Will they sort it out and credit my account?

It will likely take a while, but yes, they should eventually sort it out. You may want to give it like a week or 2 from the date you mailed it to check the status online and also to see if the check has cleared. If not, then keep checking back or call the IRS at 800-829-1040.
