Did you send in the extra quarterly estimate payments for 2024?

To enter Federal or State Estimated Taxes Paid, including a state estimated payment made in January for the prior year, go to

Federal on left or at top (Personal for Home & Business)

    Deductions and Credits

Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid

Estimated Taxes - click the start button

Federal Estimated payments should be on 1040 line 26.

Please explain clearly how you paid the extra taxes so we can help with where you need to enter the amount.

    Hello
My income was on higher than expected, as my income is variable. I went to IRS website and paid the extra money so i do not get penalized for paying less taxes in the year like last year.
    Thanks
