I am a college student and my parents claim me on their taxes but i worked over the summer so do i file my W2's? or do they have to file everything as a family?

If you earned more than $6,350, you are required to file a return.

If you made less than $6,350 you can file a return to claim some or all of the taxes you paid during the summer. Make sure to indicate someone else can claim you as a dependent during the interview process. 

Your parents cannot include your W-2 when they file their return. The can claim you as a dependent.
